As many of our members know, we suspended all of our physical events on March 13th in light of the current Covid-19 situation. While like many of you, we’d love to get back to our physical events, we have a social responsibility to make sure we do this when the time is appropriate with measures in place to keep our members safe.
As it currently stands, we don’t have a date in mind for when our physical events will be back. Before we set out the measures we’ll be taking to keep everyone safe, we want to see what government guidelines will be for group gatherings.
Due to the fact that The Mussel Club uses a variety of venues across the North East of England, our safety measures may change slightly from venue to venue, depending on how the venue would like us to approach the event organisation.
We can ensure that at all physical events we will be adhering to any existing social distancing rules. It is likely we will also be asking all members to not share business cards to limit contact with each other. As an alternative you will be able to download The Mussel Club app where you’ll be able to connect with each other and see all the details you would on a business card.
We’d also like to take this opportunity to thank our members that have joined in with our virtual events that we’ve been running over the last few months – it’s been great to see so many people still making strong relationships. We’re planning on keeping these going throughout the summer until we return with one of the best networking event line ups to make up for all the ones we had to cancel.
Hopefully see you soon!
